Easy Does It

There’s a cold breeze blowing in and with it comes the much-anticipated follow-up to Familiars' acclaimed 2020 debut, All In Good Time. Their sophomore release, Easy Does It, arrives under the Beaver Moon on November 15th, 2024. Recorded during the Spring Equinox in 2023, Easy Does It was tracked at Gold Standard Recorders with the legendary sideman and esteemed producer Aaron Goldstein (Julianna Riolino, Altameda, Nicolette & The Nobodies).

Inspired by the iconic sound and raw energy of Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Easy Does It captures the band in a more intimate setting. Invoking the experience of being in the same room with them. The album's songs are filled out by the sorrowful sounds of Aaron Goldstein’s (City & Colour, Kathleen Edwards, Bry Webb) pedal steel guitar, and the skillful playing of Thomas Hammerton (Bry Webb, Julianna Riolino, Randy Bachman) on keys.

Easy Does It sounds right at home with the latest releases of their contemporaries, or as a hidden gem found in a vintage record collection.

As with all of Familiars releases, this album is best played loud and often.
